Free Music Events
throughout the summer thanks to our sponsors

The GO-Godalming Association launched the annual Music in the Park in 2006 to provide local people and visitors alike with an occasion at which they could enjoy a range of outdoor concerts – and to provide these free for music lovers to enjoy.

The generosity of our sponsors and the support of Waverley and Godalming Town Councils has enabled Music in the Park to become a permanent fixture in the annual music event calendar. With a diverse range of amateur and professional bands and performers to choose from, the concerts – which are held every Sunday afternoon from May until September – attract enthusiastic crowds who enjoy watching the performances in the company of friends and family.

You are welcome to bring picnics and chairs, although we do ask that if you decide to bring a windbreak or gazebo that you erect these on the perimeter of the bandstand arena so as not to interfere with the enjoyment of the event by fellow music-goers.

Each concert is sponsored by local companies and organisations without whom Music in the Park would not be possible. Please applaud them enthusiastically on the day! You can find out more about them here.

The GO-Godalming Association do have additional costs related to maintaining the bandstand and provide an opportunity for donations via a bucket collection run by our volunteers. You are welcome to give as generously as your mood dictates!

Music in the Park is held on the Godalming Bandstand on The Bury’s next to St Peters and St Paul’s Church come rain or shine – although in extreme weather we may decamp to the parish church next door. The show must always go on!
